WHY IMPOSE YOUR DECISIONS ON US
A teenagers, we need help,
especially from our parents, but they seem to turn blind eyes to
our problems and ignore us.
Parents prefer to take
decisions for their teenage children and expect them to accept
those decisions always. Sometimes, their decisions are contrary
to the child’s ideas, so there is usually a lot of conflict in
the home.
As teenagers, we face a lot
of challenges which our parents sometimes do not understand. We
expect our parents to sit and reason with us instead of imposing
their rules and ideas on us. They should try to know our
problems and help us solve them.
The main problem in our
homes is that, there is often lack of communication between
parents and children. Parents often force us to do what they
want and never what we want to do. Sometimes, however, their
decisions backfire and they regret.
Children should be given
more r room to operate, especially in the choice of subjects for
a future career. This is to avoid a situation where parents
force careers we do not like on us, something which greatly
affects our final grades.
In fact, there are too many
restrictions in the home. Please, allow us to have a free hand
to learn and grow up to be responsible citizens in future.

GIRL CHILD EDUCATION
We wish to make our parents
aware about girl child education. We want our parents to be
aware that girl education is something important not only to us,
but also the whole nation. The reason is that some people think
the place for the girl is the kitchen.
We want to assure everybody
who thinks that way that it’s not true, because, what Kofi can
do Ama can do better, There is said that if you educate a man
you educate only a person but if you educate a woman you educate
a whole nation and remember, knowledge is power So ‘n pleading
with the Minister of Education to do something about it.
Thank you.

TEENAGE PREGNANCY WHO IS TO BLAME?
Teenage pregnancy occurs
when young girls find themselves pregnant by having sexual
intercourse with boys and men.
A teenager is a person
between the ages of thirteen and nineteen years. When a teenager
is pregnant who is to be blamed? She has to blame herself. She
also brings shame and disgrace to her parents. Teenage pregnancy
may be caused by peer pressure.
When these teenagers are
pregnant, they try to hide it from their parents and take to
abortion which may lead them to death.
A number of rape cases also
cause teenage pregnancy. The way some teenagers arouse the
sexual interest of men can lead to rape.
Teenage girls are not mature
enough to deliver and therefore have to undergo operation before
delivery. Their parents find it difficult to pay surgical bills
associated with such operations.
Teenage mothers suffer a lot
of complications.
Teenage pregnancy swells up
the population and creates more socio-economic problems for
government.
I think the government
should help such unfortunate girls with money to take care of
their children. There should also be programmes in the mass
media and the schools, to educate students to refrain from such
sexual practices which create these problems.

TREE SHADOWS
All hushed the trees are
waiting
On tiptoe for the sight
Of moonrise shedding splendour
Across the dusk of night
Ah, now the moon is risen
And lo, without a sound
The trees all write their welcome

How sweet and important you
are.
You have made nations,
families, and mankind practical. Your presence has been the
greatest gift to mankind. But who should be educated? Everyone,
including you and I, needs education for good health, food and
brilliant policies. Without education a country can never
develop.
Ama Boamah Mensah,
PHILOSOPHY OF WORK
Work is a gift from God, but
not a curse from God. If anyone sees work as a curse, it shall
be a burden for the person. Do not sit by your work and do
nothing. Do not say work must be abolished for, without work how
can man survive?. So my dear future leaders do your work well,
and make mother Ghana a successful and happy home.

A MYSTERIOUS WORLD
Oh, what a world we live in!
The world is full of happiness, sorrow and uncertainty.
Sometimes I find myself smiling Sometimes weeping and other
times, I find myself in-between the two.
Man, clothed in little
power, suppresses his fellow man. Pride, arrogance, sycophancy,
back-biting and self-seeking, have taken the better part of the
world. We look forward to the day when men will really live like
brothers. Loving one another and living in absolute peace and
perpetual happiness.
Above all things, let us
never forget that mankind constitutes one big brotherhood.
All born to live in a temporal world of mystery and passions.
